Cooperative “Gvirila ” was formed in the spring of 2016 with 21 farmers’ unions. Members of the Cooperative are breeding and cultivating land that they own in Tetritskaro district. They produce hay, press it in 20 kilograms, and sell in western Georgia. Some portions of the hay are kept on their own for cattle feeding.
Within the framework of the ENPARD project, “Gvirila” was handed over to the cargo truck, mowing and collecting tractor. The above-mentioned technique gave the cooperative a great deal of flexibility and simplified their work. Feeding caws with their own hay is cheaper for farmers. In the future, cooperatives want to produce special food for animals.
“In the future, we want to get more members and enlarge cooperative. More farmers will produce more production and each member farmer will benefit much more.”
